Summer's first party

Summer had her first party on Sunday 27 May 2007 at L16 at Hong Kong Park. A lot of mummy and daddy friends came, who were the Myers family, Hamilton-Wright family, Aunty Pauline and son Jeffrey, Uncle Victor, Janke family, de La Grandière family, Uncle Tony and Wendy, Uncle Joseph's family, Auntie Angelle and Anthy, Uncle Carl, Aunty Bina, Uncle Ek, Aunty Mel and Uncle Ferg, and Uncle Lawrence and Auntie Cara. They were all very kind and gave me a lot of lovely presents. It was very nice to meeting you all.

Summer has this little gesture almost every time she is drinking milk, she likes to stick little pinky out. Yesterday she even had the little pinky resting on my hand!

We are having a party for Summer tomorrow to meet mummy and daddy's friends. A lot of our friends had been eager to meet her and kept tracking this blog for her latest news. I truly thank these friends who are thinking of us all the time. I just hope that Summer will behave tomorrow, otherwise she might loose her fans!

Entertainment

Today we got Summer a muscial mobile, she seems to be happy about it, and we hope that she will like it for a while! The confinement lady has finished her job for the month, I wonder if Summer is going to miss her?

One Month Full Moon!

Our dear Summer is one month old today! Mummy and daddy wish you good health, happiness, good sleeps and god bless! Please be a good girl, we love you a lot our little darling.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is my first 'official' Mother's Day, all the Mother's Days before were spent with Chichi, Nunu and Maxi. Ginn and Summer are very sweet. To make my first Mother's Day extra special, Summer got daddy to go and buy mummy sunflowers, which is very 'summery' like, and also got daddy to make mummy a Mother's Day card. Ginn is going to make me lunch today as well! I wish on this Mother's Day and beyond, for Summer to be a good and healthy girl.

I would also like to say to my mum: 'I love you mum, it is not easy to be a mother, and even more harder to be a fantastic mother like you. Thank you for loving us so much.'

Sitting up

Baby Summer loves to sit. But she is way too young to be sitting! Whenever she cries, all we have to do is to sit her up and she will stop crying, she even prefers that to cuddles! Well she will just have to wait till she is around 6 months to enjoy all the sitting she wants! At the moment her bones are too soft to let her sit for too long. She is actually sitting up in this photo!

Sleeping problem.... help!

Baby Summer is having problem falling asleep... she is soooo tired but as soon as she falls asleep she would wake up and cry.. seems like something is bothering her and I don't know what.. usually it takes about 30 mins and up to soothe her to sleep. Does anyone know how to help her? It breaks my heart to see her not being able to fall asleep nicely, as it seems to bother her...

She is growing!

Although Summer still seems to be so small, I have noticed that she has grown! She can now support her own head! I noticed it when I was burping her, her head is no longer flimsy, and she can look around while I burp her. May be this is because she likes to be burped! Still fidgety and whingy, hope that will go away soon!

Still so small

It's been 15 days now, I have fed and changed her so many times but she is still so small. When are you going to grow bigger and can understand more? I can not wait to be able to communicate with her, in a way that we can both understand each other. Every parent have to go through this stage in order to have a 'bigger baby', I wonder which stage is the most enjoyable one? To me this stage is tough, especially I have a fidgety one!! But as they all say, it is only going to get tougher...
